If you think you have been exposed to an STI/STD, it is important to get tested. Many STIs/STDs do not cause any symptoms and it is possible to spread these diseases and infections without ever having symptoms.
While most testing is free, some services may incur lab fees. Treatment for some diseases will be
offered without expense to the client, while referrals for other treatment may be necessary.

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are very common. In fact, there are over 110 million cases in the U.S. with 20 million new infections each year. Bottom line is, half of women will contract one through sexual contact.
The CDC recommends STD testing all sexually active people, and treatment right away, if your test is positive. The infections associated with this epidemic are all preventable.
